Nintendo releases prod.keys & title.keys v21.2.0 alongside Switch Firmware 21.2.0. Learn why this update is essential for emulators like Yuzu, Ryujinx, Skyline, Sudachi, Cemu, Eden, and Citron.
Nintendo has released prod.keys and title.keys v21.2.0 alongside the latest Nintendo Switch Firmware, marking an important update for the entire emulation community. The new 21.2.0 keyset includes refreshed cryptographic data required to decrypt and run newer Switch game files. Without these updated keys, popular emulators like Yuzu, Ryujinx, Skyline, Sudachi, Citron, Cemu, and Eden may show “missing key” errors, black screens, or fail to boot updated titles.
Firmware 21.0.1 also introduces updated system modules that improve compatibility, stability, and performance across PC and Android-based Switch emulators. Users must dump these keys and firmware from their own Nintendo Switch hardware, as downloading system files from the internet is illegal.
For the best results and full support for new game releases, emulator users are encouraged to update to prod.keys/title.keys and firmware as soon as possible.
