This policy exists so readers can judge how much weight to give any page on this site.
Independence
This site is independent and unaffiliated. It does not claim to be an official Nintendo resource, and it does not describe proprietary cryptographic key material as “official Nintendo keys”. Product and platform names are used descriptively to identify the subject.
We do not publish key values
This is absolute and it applies to every page, guide and table. A production keyset is described by its structure, categories and relationships. Its values are never reproduced, in whole or in part. If you see key material on a site, that site is doing something this one will not.
We do not invent values
- No version or revision number is published without a source and a review date.
- No firmware compatibility is asserted without confirmation.
- No download availability, file size or update date is fabricated to fill a table.
- Where a value is unrecorded, it is shown as “not published — verify on your own hardware”.
We separate documented facts from assumptions
Community knowledge is useful and often correct, but it is not the same as a documented fact. Where a page presents a widely repeated belief, it labels it as a belief. The compatibility hub is the clearest example of that contrast in practice.
We do not make security guarantees
No “safe”, “verified” or “genuine” guarantee is offered for any file, because no website can inspect a file on your device. What this site can do is describe structure, failure modes and responsible handling.
We date our work
Every substantive page carries a last-updated date, and version records carry a review date. Where a statement depends on a value that changes, the page says so.
Corrections
If we are wrong, we correct it. The update policy describes the process, and the contact page is how to raise it.
